Hey all, my name is Rizon, I'm the Chief Technical Officer of NodeByte LTD, since 2024 around March time I joined the team to focus on all Technical and development sides and worked tirelessly to ensure everything remained stable and easy to use for all our users.
No, this isn't a close down blog this is a blog on where I explain what we have planned for the future of NodeByte Hosting.
We recently moved off of WHMCS to our own solution called BytePay, although it's in stable internal release, we plan to make this widely available when we feel it's ready for everyone to use.
Current Status is cleaning up any rocky parts we have discovered since a production release we missed the in staging tests. We know we had 2 major issues since the release, but we learn from mistakes and quickly fixed them.
No, we never stopped releasing security updates before this, we worked tirelessly in the background to ensure all data was safe, but recently we worked, tested and planned removing all default ports away from our firewalls to prevent any attempts to breach our network.
To this day the Tech team and Security team work closely together to ensure all user data, game data etc... are kept safe and in line with our privacy policies.
As explained above, NodeByte Hosting is not going anywhere! We understand it seems we are slowly becoming providers for other hosting companies, but we are always working on making better products in house that we would love to share with the rest of the hosting companies (If they would like to use it) or for anyone looking to start a hosting company, we work closely to ensure any of our products are always easy to setup and pain free!
We will always use products we have created as as much of our users we trust our own products to not use anything different!
With the being said, I'm happy to announce we plan to create a all in one panel for our Game Hosting and VPS Hosting - We understand development of the game panel has slowed down part from security updates, but we were working on BytePanel V3, but we came up with a better idea to completely rebuild the game panel (Which is currently a Pterodactyl fork) and VPS Panel (We use Virtfustion so no work was done our end a part from setting this up!), from the ground up into 1 big panel.
What does this mean for us (the users)? Our support staff will have deeper understandings on how the panel and provisioners work, direct contact with all the developers to help with any issues (or pesky bugs) and even better updates with more support on games (with extra features) and how Operating Systems are deployed via the VPS side.
This work may take time, but we plan to share the progress with you all!
Thank you for reading!
